When to go

The trade wind blows in the eastern part of the Big Island for most of the year, which generates significant rainfall. The average temperature is 24 ° C. The navigation activity on the Pangalanes Canal is available all year long, but yacht cruises increase between May and November, that is to say, beyond the hurricane season. Ask Tropicana Lodge about availability and your reservation!

How to get there

274 kilometres from the capital, at the Brickaville commune, the right fork will take you to this destination. Another possibility is to reach this village from Toamasina since Air Madagascar flights regularly connect Antananarivo and Toamasina and you can continue your journey by train, from Toamasina station or by car for a journey of 124 kilometres.
