When to go

With its dry savannah climate, Fort-Dauphin and its surroundings are ideally visited between June and November. During this period, precipitation is low and temperatures are more pleasant.

How to get there

From the Malagasy capital, taxi-bush companies provide the Antananarivo-Fort-Dauphin route for a journey of just over two days. There are domestic flights that will allow you to reach this destination faster. You can then rent a car to get to Vinanibe located about 7 km from the city center.
