Cape-East Antalaha

West of Antalaha two branches of a large river meet before emptying into the Indian Ocean, with Ankavanana being the right fork and Ankavia the left one. Their estuary is called Ambinany or Mananarabe. The place can be visited on a tour that follows the Ankavia River to the Eastern Cape forest area and offers several attractions. On one hand, there's an adventurous aspect of the trip by off-road motorcycle or quad and on the other there's the exploration of the villages and a visit to Masoala National Park. It is an ideal site for trekking enthusiasts. The river originates in the hills and mountains of Masoala in the northeastern part of Madagascar, shaping the region's watershed, dense forests and forest valleys.
