The High Life - Andringitra National Park

The little houses of red earth on either side of the famous RN7 main road leading to the Andringitra
National Park are a foretaste of the extraordinary adventure awaiting you. Once there, just go with
the flow, delighting in the stunning natural environment.

The sweet soothing trickle of the Riandahy and the Riambavy, two majestic sacred waterfalls, will
guide your footsteps and leave you speechless and stunned by the panorama opening out onto the
mountains, as though time stood still. The more adventurous can climb the iconic Boby peak, which
culminates at an altitude of 2,658m. From here, you can admire Madagascar's highest accessible
peak, set in spectacular scenery, with a splendid view over typical high mountain habitats. From the
top, you will grasp the meaning of the expression ‘Where the mountains touch the sky’.
Throughout your trek, whichever path you have chosen to take, thanks to the presence of the 10 or so species of
lemurs, including the famous maki or crowned lemur, the hundred or so species of birds, 50 species of reptiles, to name but a few, you will rarely find yourself alone. The flora making up the natural habitat of this exceptional fauna, typical of the tropical forests of the east of Madagascar, is just as flourishing. To this day, over 1,000 species of plants have been listed in this park, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. On the high plateau in the west, another surprise awaits you: a multitude of palm trees that have adapted to the altitude, a magnificent natural pool and unforgettable sunsets.
See you soon.
